Our History and Beginnings
Sawatdee Thai Wellness and Spa location opened in 2020 but originally started as Tia Thai Massage 15 years ago and offered Thai massage therapy in Burnaby. We are starting to grow further to allow better servicing of our clients. We believe in providing superior service and experience in Traditional Thai massage and aromatherapy oil massage. We thank the continued support of all of our clients over the years and look forward to meeting many more new clients in the future.
About the Owner:
The owner originates from Thailand and was trained in Traditional Thai massage in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand. She discovered Thai massage in 2000 after having some paralysis and Thai massage helped her to recover. This made her believe in the healing effects of Traditional Thai Massage and now would like to help other people improve their health.
Our Services
Aromatherapy Oil Treatment
We offer gentle pressure with aromatherapy package. We always use authentic coconut oil for all of our aromatherapy oil massages.
Combination of Thai and Oil Treatment
Over time, we have blended the Traditional Thai with a western deep tissue oil massage to bring together the best of both worlds. We recommend this treatment for our new clients.
Deep Tissue Treatment
Our deep tissue massage incorporates eastern and western techniques. Slow strokes and extended pressure are used in the massage to target the deeper layers of muscles beneath the skin. This treatment is better suited for clients who require extra deep pressure
Traditional Thai Treatment
Thai massage is a blend of assisted yoga and acupressure techniques. It is also known colloquially as "the lazy person's yoga." The therapist will use their hands and feet to knead and press muscles along the body's energy lines while incorporating yoga stretching techniques.

Our facial treatment is ideal for normal to dry skin types. We use Sulwhasoo product and the treatment begins with an exfoliating cleanser that removes impurities from the surface of your face, followed by facial steaming that opens your pores and clears out excess sebum, a mask which serves to purify your skin, a facial moisturizer of which rehydrates skin, and a hydrating serum which ensures your complexion remains luminous all day long.
